Context. A multi-brand luxury retail group approaching a generational leadership transition.
Mandate. Appoint a Group Chief Executive able to steward heritage brands while accelerating a global, omnichannel growth agenda.
Search challenge. The strongest candidates were sitting CEOs and divisional presidents who would never respond to an advertisement, and the process had to remain confidential while the incumbent was in seat.
Approach. A mapped universe of group and divisional leaders across European, American and Asian luxury retail, calibrated against the board's growth thesis and cultural requirements.
Outcome. Appointed from a shortlist of four sitting and divisional chief executives. The incumbent transition was managed confidentially through to public announcement.
