Global CEO Search for a Luxury Retail Group

Context. A multi-brand luxury retail group approaching a generational leadership transition.

Mandate. Appoint a Group Chief Executive able to steward heritage brands while accelerating a global, omnichannel growth agenda.

Search challenge. The strongest candidates were sitting CEOs and divisional presidents who would never respond to an advertisement, and the process had to remain confidential while the incumbent was in seat.

Approach. A mapped universe of group and divisional leaders across European, American and Asian luxury retail, calibrated against the board's growth thesis and cultural requirements.

Outcome. Appointed from a shortlist of four sitting and divisional chief executives. The incumbent transition was managed confidentially through to public announcement.

CMO Appointment for a Heritage Luxury Brand

Context. A heritage luxury house seeking to modernise brand and client engagement without eroding its codes.

CFO Search for a Founder-Led Premium Consumer Business

Context. A fast-growing, founder-led premium consumer business preparing for its next phase of investment.

Mandate. Appoint a Chief Financial Officer able to institutionalise finance while preserving the founder's pace and culture.

Search challenge. The CFO had to earn the founder's trust and bring investor-grade rigour without imposing corporate drag on an entrepreneurial business.

Approach. A focused search across premium consumer and investor-backed businesses, prioritising leaders who had scaled founder-led companies before.

Outcome. A chief executive appointed who had led growth in a comparable investor-backed business; the search was completed within the confidentiality the situation required.

Approach. A search across luxury, premium consumer and adjacent digital-native businesses, assessed for luxury fluency as much as technical capability.

Outcome. A commercial leader appointed from a digital-native consumer business, bringing client-intelligence capability the house had not previously held at board level.

Mandate. Appoint a Non-Executive Director bringing governance, sector perspective and access aligned with the shareholders' ambitions.

Search challenge. Board appointments for privately held luxury businesses require sensitivity to shareholder dynamics and genuine sector credibility.
